By car:

by highway A4 from Austria, Udine, Venice, Turin

  1. Exit at the barrier " Trieste-Lisert" > Sistiana - Trieste Centro > Strada Statale 14 - SS14 on the sea, is panoramic and beautiful, but with congestions on summer and on weekends. Prefereble for tourism.
  2. Exit at the barrier " Prosecco - Trieste Centro " > Villa Opicina > Trieste Centro
  3. Exit at the barrier " Prosecco - Trieste Centro " > Prosecco > Trieste Centro : panoramic to sea and city and Istra from a high visual, good for see Barcolana , but the route is tight and without parking. Do not use it.

From Slovenia - Koper through Lazzaretto > Muggia > Trieste Centro

From Slovenia - Koper through Rabuiese > Trieste Centro

From Slovenia through Pese or Basovizza > Basovizza > Trieste Centro

From Slovenia through Fernetti > Villa Opicina > Trieste Centro

From Croatia through Slovenia through Pese > Basovizza > Trieste Centro

By Train

Railway station " Trieste Centrale " is the main station, in the center of the city. From here you can start to visit on foot or by bus. Prefereble.

Raiway station " Villa Opicina " in suburbs, you can arrive in the center by the panoramic and unique in Europe " Trolley car of Opicina ", or by bus.

Railway station " Trieste Campo Marzio Loco " , in the center of the city, now not used for regular passengers lines but for historic journeys.

By air:

International airport " Trieste - No Borders " 30 km from Trieste, and then by bus.
